Journaling & Releasing Practice :: for Eclipse Season

These prompts are intuitively written to assist you in processing the energies of Scorpio, Pluto & the South Node during a time of rebirth, intensity & unexpected events.

As with all eclipses, the shadows come forth to be acknowledged, their lessons are karmic, there is no other option than to flow with their arrival and departure, take insight from the events, emotions and observations which may arise during this cycle, and move forth with renewed appreciation for the divinity of the cosmos and its profound ability to unveil things which help us on our journey to self mastery.


Eclipses are not exactly energies to be 'worked with' however you can be intentional in creating space to allow for awareness and stillness during these times in order to best observe, presentness is your most powerful ally now.

Meditation and Journaling are two practices which can be beneficial in clarifying areas of life that you need to turn your focus towards.

Eclipse energies manifest differently every season, but their themes remain that of closing out old patterns to be replaced with updated and more aligned beliefs and structures that benefit us in physical, spiritual and mental realms.



The Practice:

It is always good to cleanse your environment before starting any practice which involves emotional releasing or purging, wether this be by reciting an energy recall, using smoke or incense, placing crystals in a grid around you or whatever form of space protection and clarification you most resonate with.


Choose any or all of the below prompts to start your free-flow self expression of this cycle.

Trust whatever comes out, and do your best to avoid censoring or articulating too much, this is a releasing exercise, not designed to be perfect or structured.

Try to write for 5-10 minutes on each prompt - let them take you where is necessary...

  • An uncomfortable truth that I need to confront is...

  • I am ready to stop carrying the weight of...

  • Something I need to forgive myself for is...

  • I stress too much about...

  • A self imposed limitation I am liberating myself from is...

  • What unfair judgements of myself do I hold...

  • I feel blocked when I think of...

  • Something that drains me that I am giving up right now is...


Close out your practice with 10 deep clearing breaths.


Recite the following:

"I am a transformational being, I trust in universal alignment, and in the wisdom of the cosmos. I am thankful for the lessons that heavy emotions and limitations can offer. With the light of this eclipse, I see clearly the shadows and I acknowledge them with grace, I send my light to them and allow them to dissolve to make space for new radiance and opportunities to enter my life."


You can burn or tear up your paper if you feel called, as a symbolic representation of these old beliefs being discarded physically as well as emotionally.
